History Minute - Who was Hannah Szenes?

I love history. I was a history major at Mercyhurst College. The only problem with loving history is that no one ever wants to talk to you about it! So, I decided to start spending some of my time discussing some of my favorite people from history. The first is Hannah Szenes - a young Jewish woman who volunteered for a parachuting group in the British Army in WW2. She went on a dangerous mission to try to save people from being deported to concentration camps. Sadly, she was captured and killed. But, her heroism, and her poetry, live on!
