The Grandparent/Caregiver Power of Attorney

This week I wanted to spend some time talking about a really effective tool the Ohio Revised Code has that I know would help out a lot of Lake County families. If you have a grandchild residing with you, the Ohio Revised Code allows you to enroll them in your school district and seek medical attention for them, and you can do so without the child's parents giving up any of their custody rights. As the Lake County Juvenile staff member told me when I filed my last one, "I can't believe more people don't take advantage of this."
